The Factions of Unfinished Rewritten

This page features the main joinable factions of Unfinished Rewritten, the Retcons and Control Zed. They are constantly at odds, although outright war never breaks out. Their goals and purposes are simply opposite to each other.

There are many other factions spread out across the world of Unfinished Rewritten, but they will not be featured here, and are currently closed to members. You may make a character that used to be in one of the other factions, but they may not be a part of them in modern day.

Additionally, there are characters without a faction. These are referred to as "Unaligned" for simplicity's sake.

Now for the main factions ...

The Retcons

The Retcons are a faction with a reputation for being jolly and care-free, taking in just about anyone who comes their way. They are tasked by the Creators with assisting in various creative endeavors, to further the dimentia species and keep things running smoothly. They act as reassurance to the local populace that things are safe and stable. The Retcons take their job very seriously, though it may not appear as such from an outside perspective with their seemingly easygoing attitude.

This faction is lead by Creation -- an artsy dimentia with a somewhat fatherly attitude. He is seemingly almost always in high spirits, though there are rumors that he tends towards inaction during times of conflict. "Creation" is also only a title -- his real name is unknown. The title of "Creation" is passed down from leader to leader over the years, with it dating all the way back to the founder. Each leader is marked by a shining eye star.

The second-in-command of the Retcons is a winged dimentia that wields lightning magic with the title of "Author".

Control Zed

Control Zed is a faction that is responsible for the dirty work of Unfinished Rewritten's world. They have a reputation for being harsh and stoic, though in reality they are a tight-knit community. They are tasked with eliminating threats to the balance of Unfinished Rewritten's world such as monsters. They also apprehend those who would cause harm to the general populace. They're anti-heroes of a sort, seeking to maintain balance beneath the Creators, but also attending to their own agenda.

This faction is lead by Destruction -- a stoic, temperamental dimentia who cares fiercely for his faction members. He is seemingly always in a bad mood, at least to outsiders. To his own faction, he is kind and welcoming. He is also one to offer support to souls in need. "Destruction" is also only a title -- his real name is unknown. The title of "Destruction" is passed down from leader to leader over the years, with it dating all the way back to the founder. Each leader is marked by a shining eye glint.

The second-in-command of Control Zed is a dimentia that wields time-space magic with the title of "Editor".
